Salem, OR – Next week the Oregon Public Utility Commission will receive a briefing on the energy supply outlook for the 2002-2003 winter. Those providing reports at the December 2, 2002 meeting include Portland General Electric and PacifiCorp. The two utilities will address the issue from their perspective including tools at their disposal such as energy buybacks to curtailments plans to deal with possible shortages.
 
The Northwest Power Pool and Northwest Power Planning Council will provide broader reports dealing with energy supply issues facing the region.
