Commission to Hold Hearing on PGE Sale

Salem, Or. – The Oregon Public Utility Commission will take up the proposed sale of Portland General Electric (PGE) to Oregon Electric Utility Holding Company (OEUC) on Dec. 13, 2004 when it listens to oral arguments by the various participants in the case.
 
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Main Commission Hearing Room at 550 Capitol Street, Salem, Oregon.
 
Testimony will be limited to 14 parties in the case who have requested an opportunity to testify before the Commission.
 
The hearing is another opportunity for the Commission to receive comments for and against the proposed sale.
 
Each party will have ten minutes to make its "best case" argument. After each argument, the Commissioners may ask questions.
 
The Commission intends to issue a decision early next year.
