PUC TO HOST PUBLIC COMMENT HEARING ON IDAHO POWER’S INTEGRATED RESOURCE PLAN
Event scheduled for November 2, 2017 in Ontario, Oregon
SALEM, Ore. – The Public Utility Commission of Oregon (PUC) is hosting a hearing to obtain comments from the public on Idaho Power Company’s 2017 Integrated Resource Plan (IRP). Idaho Power’s plan outlines a number of initiatives including construction of the Boardman to Hemingway transmission line, exit from coal operations at the North Valmy plant, termination of coal-fired operations at the Boardman plant, continuing the pursuit of energy efficiency, and planning for western energy imbalance market (EIM) participation.

The public comment hearing will be held:
Date:              Thursday, November 2, 2017
Time:              5:30 – 8 p.m.
Location:         Four Rivers Cultural Center, 676 SW 5th Avenue, Ontario, Oregon, 97914

“Opportunities like this to visit different parts of the state and hear directly from utility customers is very important to me and the other commissioners,” said Lisa Hardie, PUC Commission Chair.  “The comments, whether in person at the event or in writing, will help us reach an informed decision.”

For individuals unable to attend the public hearing, comments may be submitted in the following ways:
·         By mail to Public Utility Commission of Oregon, P.O. Box 1088, Salem, OR 97308-1088
·         By email to puc.publiccomments@state.or.us
