Energy Trust of Oregon - Public Purpose Funds

Energy Trust of Oregon is an independent nonprofit organization dedicated to helping utility customers save energy and generate renewable power. Energy Trust services and cash incentives are available to residential, commercial, public sector, industrial, agricultural and renewable energy customers of Portland General Electric, Pacific Power, NW Natural, Cascade Natural Gas and Avista. The organization works primarily with small businesses in the trades and energy industry professionals to deliver information, services, technical assistance and cash incentives to help utility customers save on energy costs and install renewable energy systems.

As a steward of public purpose funds received through a small percent charge on customer utility bills, Energy Trust helps keep costs low and performance high by maintaining an efficient organization and low administrative costs. Energy Trust reports its activities, costs and results to the Commission quarterly and annually, measuring actual performance against annual targets set by the Commission.

An independent board of directors oversees Energy Trust operations, provides strategic direction and approves annual budgets and major expenditures. A Conservation Advisory Council and Renewable Energy Advisory Council comprised of interest groups and stakeholders assist the board with strategic development and provide guidance on program implementation.

You or your business could be eligible for Energy Trust services and incentives. For more information, visit Energy Trust online or call 866-368-7878.
