Lisa Hardie, Commission Chair

Lisa Hardie, an attorney, was appointed to the Oregon Public Utility Commission in June 2016 by
Governor Kate Brown.  

Chair Hardie has nearly twenty years of experience as an energy attorney and previously served as an Administrative Law Judge for the Oregon PUC where she presided over contested case hearings, rulemakings, and regulatory dockets. As an Administrative Law Judge, Chair Hardie provided insight and legal analysis on key issues before the Commission, earning the reputation of being an independent and fair arbiter of major rate cases and regulatory issues. Prior to her work as an Administrative Law Judge, Chair Hardie worked with the California parties seeking recovery of refunds to ratepayers due to the California energy crisis. Chair Hardie is an active member of the Oregon State Bar including its Energy, Telecom, and Utility Section.  Chair Hardie graduated with honors from the University of Texas Law School and has a BA in the Liberal Arts Honor Program, also from the University of Texas.
