Commission to Host Open House on Proposal to Suspend Propane Service in Coos Bay

Salem, Or. – The Oregon Public Utility Commission will hold an informational Open House in Coos Bay March 29, 2005 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. to provide information and take comments from the public regarding Northwest Natural’s proposal to terminate propane service effective June 30, 2005.
Representatives of the Commission will be available as well as officials from NW Natural to answer questions and provide information about the proposed switchover. You will be able to find out more about alternative energy options that may be available. Customers may sign up with NW Natural to receive natural gas from the newly-constructed pipeline serving the county.
The Open House is informal and the public can come and go as they please. This is an opportunity to find out more in a relaxed setting on a one-on-one basis.
The Open House will be held in the Coos Bay Public Library at 525 Anderson Avenue in Coos Bay.
