Oregon Senate Confirms John Savage to Four-Year Term on Utility Commission

Salem, Or. – Today the Oregon State Senate confirmed the re-appointment of John Savage to a four-year term on the Oregon Public Utility Commission.
Commissioner Savage has worked in the energy and utility field for almost 25 years.
"This work is incredibly challenging, it’s demanding and it’s important," Commissioner Savage said. "I appreciate the opportunity to continue doing something I sincerely enjoy doing and I promise to continue to look out for the interests of customers."
Commissioner Savage was initially appointed in September of 2003 to serve out the remaining term of Commissioner Roy Hemmingway. Prior to his appointment he was director of the utility program at the Commission. Previously, Commissioner Savage served as Director of the Oregon Department of Energy from 1993 to January 2003.
Commissioner Savage has a B.S. in Economics from Oregon State University and M.S. in Natural Resource Economics from Oregon State University.
