PUC will Hold Idaho Power Hearing in Ontario

Salem, OR.  The public is invited to attend a hearing in Ontario April 20, 2010, to learn more and comment about the Commission’s review of Idaho Power’s Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) application.
Utilities regulated by the Commission must file IRPs every two years. The plan identifies projected growth and what resources the utility wants in order to serve its customers. One element of Idaho Power’s IRP is a proposal for a new transmission line.
The public may provide comments at anytime from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Members of Commission Staff, Idaho Power, and customer groups will be available to answer questions from the public during this time. A court reporter will be present to record comments.
