Salem, OR.  Residential and nonresidential customers of Portland General Electric, PacifiCorp and NW Natural gas will find their choice of portfolio energy options unchanged for the next 12 months.
Today the Oregon Public Utility Commission approved the recommendation of its Portfolio Options Committee made up of Commission staff, electric utilities, utility customers, local governments, public, and regional interest groups.
“These programs give customers choices to support the development of renewable resources,” Commission Chair Susan Ackerman said. “These programs complement the work of the utilities to meet the state-mandated renewable resources goal to have 25% of their needs come from renewables by 2025.”
Available since 2002, the portfolio options provide customers opportunities to purchase a variety of renewable resources.
