Commission Moving to New Temporary Location This Summer

Salem, OR.  The Oregon Public Utility Commission will move to a new temporary location this summer while repairs are made to the building at its current location at 550 Capitol St. in Salem, Oregon.
The PUC’s new temporary location is 3930 Fairview Industrial Dr SE in Salem, Oregon.
Commission employees will move in two phases. The first group will move on the weekend of August 3rd and the remaining group will follow on August 10th.
The Commission is expected to operate from its new location for about 12 to 18 months depending on how long it takes to finish the renovations.
Individuals seeking Telephone Device Equipment will need to go to the new location to get their devices.
During the construction project contractors will:
-           Replace exterior siding
-           Replace windows
-           Replace interior sheetrock walls
-           Replace roof
-           Upgrade fire alarm system
-           Upgrade portions of the HVAC system
The Commission will return to its 550 Capital St. location when the building repairs are complete.
The PUC has operated out of its current location in the renovated Sears building since 1992.
