Avista Utilities General Rate Case Request

Salem, OR   The Oregon Public Utility Commission of Oregon met with Avista on April 30, 2015.  Avista informed the Commission they will file a new rate case on May 1, 2015.

The Commission will begin review ofAvista’s request. The overall increase requested is $8.6 million or 8 percent. This would mean a residential customer using 47 therms per month will see a $5.68 increase per month.  Average bill increase would be $63.65 to $69.33.

The key cost drivers for the increase is two-thirds increased investments in natural gas facilities and one-third in Operating and Maintenance, and Administrative and General.

Return on Equity 9.9 percent.
