Avista Utilities General Rate Case - UG 288

Salem, OROn February 29, 2016, the Oregon Public Utility Commission of Oregon issued an abbreviated order on Avista’s General Rate Case filing UG 288.  In the order, the Commission authorized Avista to file rates to raise revenues by $4.46 million, with rates effective for service no earlier than March 1, 2016.  Avista had originally filed to increase rates by $8.56 million.  The Commission will issue a subsequent order detailing the basis of its decisions on the contested issues.
As a result of the order, the average residential customer bill impact is $2.83 or 5.2% ($54.61 to $57.44).  The average general service bill impact is $10.94 or 5.8% ($188.69 to $199.63).
Avista serves approximately 98,000 customers in Oregon.
